PTSD and TRAUMA

MY THERAPY IS BASED ON THE NEURO-SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY THAT POSITIVITY AND RESILIENCE      CAN BE TRAINED,

 AND  TRAUMA PROCESSED.

The part of the brain which can rationalize everything is more or less immediately shut down when trauma occurs and the primitive part of our brain can take control.  This part of the brain can only operate within the primitive parameters of Fight/Flight/Depression/Anger/Freeze/Anxiety.

It is completely natural to go into this self-protective survival mode, when life-threatening or deeply troubling and shocking events or series of events happen to you.

The good news is, that I can help you to remove the emotional charge out of your traumatic memory/memories, by using the brain’s natural ability to re-run events and process them in such a way, that we have control over them.

From there I will design a program for you, to enable you to take your life back, establish a healthy sleep pattern, and step-by-step help you to move towards your desired goal.

                                                                                            FAQs

Here are some of the questions my clients who used to suffer from PTSD and/or PTSR asked me:

IS IT SAFE?   Yes, it is. No harm can come to client, unlike with several other talking therapies which can embed the trauma more deeply. This technique does not require you to re-live or describe in detail the trauma itself.  You just need to know what it is, by naming it.

IS IT FAST?  That entirely depends on how many different traumatic events you have experienced,  a single trauma or a traumatic period (such as f.ex. having been bullied at secondary school), can usually be treated in a single session).

If you have lived or worked in a war zone as either a civilian, humanitarian worker, journalist or soldier,  you may need to have 2-3 sessions.

If you are a refugee and your entire family have gone through the same experiences, it is recommended that they be treated also, only if they suffer from PTSD too.

WILL I FORGET THE TRAUMATIC EVENT?   No, you will not.

You will regard it as a non-threatening memory, one you have control over now, because it will no longer activate a terror response in you.

HOW CAN IT BE SAFE TO DO THIS FAST PHOBIA CURE/DOUBLE DISSOCIATION REWIND TREATMENT?

You will experience it from a detached and safe distance, as if you were watching a film from a very safe, protected place.  And you will be able to communicate with me through a mutually agreed sign, such as nodding your head, or lifting your hand f.ex.

WILL I BE RE-TRAUMATISED BY THIS TREATMENT?   NO.

WILL I HAVE TO DESCRIBE AND RE-LIVE TRAUMATIC EVENT DURING TREATMENT?    NO.

DO I NEED MEDICATION TO UNDERGO THIS TREATMENT?  No, it a completely drug-free treatment.

WHAT can be SYMPTOMS OF PTSD AND PTSR?

Poor Memory and Concentration Problems,  Difficulty making decisions, Insomnia and intermittent sleep patterns,  low mood and depression, morning-exhaustion, flashbacks and nightmares,  avoiding anything that could trigger a flashback, Hyper-Vigilance, being on red alert, continuous feelings of fear and anxiety, anger outbursts and irritability, changes in ability to empathize with others or relate to others with appropriate emotional reactions, withdrawal from friends, family, and dropping of activities,  an unfamiliar, pixelated sense of self, or a sense of separateness; coping strategies that are harmful, such as excessive physical exercise, compulsive habits, comfort eating or self-medication with alcohol and/or drugs.
